Great Care on the Horizon

Assessment Services

  • Academic & Educational Evaluations

    For Children, Teens, and Adults

Our academic evaluations are tailored to identify learning differences, processing challenges, and other cognitive or emotional factors that may affect educational performance. These assessments can support diagnoses such as:

    Learning Disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia)

    ADHD

Processing speed or executive functioning challenges

    Anxiety or mood-related academic impact

We provide detailed reports, personalized feedback, and recommendations that can be used for IEPs, 504 Plans, accommodations for standardized testing (e.g., SAT, GRE), or workplace support for college and adult learners.

  • Neuropsychological Screeners

    Early Detection and Cognitive Insight

Neuropsychological screening tools are used to assess memory, attention, language, problem-solving, and executive functions. These brief screeners are useful for:

    Baseline cognitive functioning

    Concerns about early cognitive decline

    Post-injury cognitive changes

    Supporting treatment planning

While not full neuropsych batteries, these screeners help identify when a more comprehensive evaluation may be needed.

  • Competency Evaluations for Older Adults

As we age, changes in memory, judgment, and decision-making can raise concerns for individuals and their families. We provide competency evaluations for older adults to assess the ability to manage personal, medical, legal, or financial affairs safely and independently.

These evaluations are often requested by:

Family members concerned about memory loss or impaired judgment

Primary care providers, neurologists, or elder law attorneys

Individuals navigating estate planning or guardianship issues

Assisted living and senior care teams

Our assessments evaluate cognitive functioning, mental health status, and real-world decision-making abilities in a compassionate, respectful manner. Each evaluation includes a clear, comprehensive report that can support:

    Guardianship or conservatorship petitions

    Power of attorney documentation

    Medical or financial decision-making capacity

Transitions to assisted or supported living environments

Whether you're seeking peace of mind or need clinical documentation for legal or care planning purposes, we are here to help guide the process with clarity and sensitivity.

  • Assessment Fees & Payment Information

We understand that psychological testing is an important investment in your mental health, educational success, or legal planning. At Green Mountain Counseling and Psychological Services, we strive to offer transparent, flexible pricing for our assessment services.

    Fee Structure

    Flat-Fee Assessments:
Some evaluations, such as our ADHD Fastrack for professionals and pilots, are available at a flat rate. These assessments include intake, testing, scoring, and a written report—so you know exactly what to expect from the beginning.

    Hourly Assessments:
Other evaluations are billed at a rate starting at $200 per hour, depending on the complexity of the referral question and the scope of testing required. This may include time for interviews, testing, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and feedback sessions.

Each assessment is customized to your unique needs, and we’ll work with you to create a plan that is clinically appropriate and financially transparent.

    Payment Policies

Green Mountain is a private pay practice (we do not bill insurance directly for assessments).

Superbills can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement—please check with your insurance provider for details.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance.
